For Sarah and William’s maternity session at the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge, we were able to capture the love and excitement between these two soon to be parents.

Such a huge step in any person’s life, this young family eagerly awaited the arrival of their two twins.

On a hot summer day in June, Sarah’s strength and kindness was evident. Even though she was due THAT WEEK, she was such a trooper throughout her session. The twins actually came just a few days after her shoot!

Twins right? Isn’t that awesome?

Talking to Sarah and William, I actually started thinking about the genetics involved in having twins. A lot of people don’t know this, but my dad was actually one!

Out of curiosity after this maternity session at the Wichita Mountains, I may or may not have started down a rabbit trail of what influences twins. (Thank you, ADHD)

According to this article, your girl Sara just might have a possibility of having twins one day! That would definitely be interesting.

Either way, having twins is fairly uncommon. That makes this even more of a special time for Sarah and William! Not only will they be having one special babe, but two!

As they have celebrated the first year of their two little ones, I am forever grateful I was able to capture this time in their life. I am even more lucky that we were able to get these images just in the knick of time!
