Kirsten and Matt brought their fun, casual style to their couple’s session in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Some could say that the mountains weren’t the only thing that were cool!
It’s not everyday that we not only get to travel away from Oklahoma, but also to get a session while we are there!
I actually grew up going to Steamboat as a kid, so being able to revisit as an adult was so good for the soul. It’s changed a lot since I was younger, but it still had the small town, intimate charm that I remember so well.
I took a TON of photos, so I might even just make a separate blog post with those! There were so many little shops and boutiques in town, places to hike, and the people are so friendly here.
Though we went during an off season (literally everything opened the week after we left), it was nice to have pretty much the whole town to ourselves. We didn’t have to wait in line for anything, and if you know my naturally introverted self, then you know that’s always a win for me!
We went during November, but thinking back I would definitely choose either summer, or closer to the springtime when the snow is there. The gondola was closed, and that was one regret I had since I wasn’t able to take Barron to the top of the mountain.
One of the places we went to that I actually had never been was this park! Honestly, I don’t know why, but I can NOT remember the name of this place to save my life. If I think of it I will definitely update this post. Until then, don’t hate me for my lack of remembering things.
I guess the biggest thing to remember is how beautiful and unlike Oklahoma it is!
There was this stunning waterfall with a place to view it from above, TREES (and y’all know how I feel about those), and trails to keep my husband Barron occupied while I took pictures.
I can’t wait to visit Steamboat Springs, Colorado again!
