It’s not everyday I get to do a hike for an engagement session, especially at a place as beautiful as the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge.
When Vanessa contacted me, she said that she wanted something different than all the other engagement sessions she was seeing in their hometown of Dallas. She ended up finding me on Instagram, and the rest is history!
Even though this session is from a few years ago, it is STILL one of my favorite sessions I have ever done.
The outfits, the couple, the LIGHT were all reasons why I am still proud of this one.
It made this not just a typical engagement session, but an experience as well.
We ended up hiking for about 30 minutes until we reached the spot where Vanessa and Mauricio changed into their outfits. I think I only fell down twice??
Once we got to our first spot, we went right into shooting. If you have ever explored the Wichita Mountains, you know that everywhere is beautiful there! You absolutely can’t go wrong with choosing a place to photograph there.
These two lovebird brought SO much energy and love to their session. They were high school sweethearts that knew they wanted to be together even from a young age. Isn’t that adorable?
These two had their beautiful wedding recently back in Dallas, and I couldn’t be happier for them! I know that their future together will be filled with lots of love and laughter.
It isn’t everyday you get to work with such kind people, and these two were no exception. I am forever grateful I get to serve clients like this who trust me enough to drive three hours to be in front of my camera! A little exercise also doesn’t hurt 😉
