Every now and then I’ll get a session that just hits differently. This family session at Lake Lawtonka was just that.
The Fleming family was full of so much joy, laughter, and embracing everyone’s unique personalities that I still think of it to this day.
I remember coming back from this session and talking to my husband, Barron, how Paul and Laura seemed like they were two teenagers in love. Despite the known hardships of military life along with parenthood, that still has stuck with me two years later.
Not only were they just an incredible family, but also that weather was perfect (which is always a hit or miss in Oklahoma, let’s be real).
Fun fact, Laura used to be a photographer as well, and she even connected me to her previous client, Amanda, for her own session! (See that blog here). Small world, am I right?
It’s always an encouraging day when I am able to continue meeting people through word of mouth and referrals. Especially in the military community, these sorts of things go very far not just in a business, but in building a community as well.
With relocating, being away from family, along with your own spouse a lot of the time, military life can be very isolating and lonely. It always fills my cup when new friendships and connections are able to form from this life!
